Do Small Things With Great Love

Missions is very important in the life of Lebanon Christian Church. Over the 35 years of the church's existence, it has given millions of dollars to missions locally and across the globe. Faith Promise is our focus on missions for the year. Through the Faith Promise season, you will learn about our supported missions, pray for them, participate in opportunities to serve with them, and commit your giving to them for the coming year.

The commitments we collect during our Commitment Sundays will guide our missions giving for 2020.

Commitment Goal: $215,000

Passport to Prayer

Sunday, Sept. 29

6:30-8:30pm

Every missionary will agree that the biggest group of partners they need are prayer partners. During the Passport to Prayer, you will have the opportunity to move through a time of prayer for each of our supported missions. As you spend time in prayer for each organization, you will learn how to better pray for them through the year.

This is an "unstructured" prayer walk...come sometime between 6:30 and 8:30pm and spend as long as you'd like, praying your way through the ministries. This is a great thing to do as a family or a life group. You are free to leave when you are finished.

Dress-a-Girl

We are also collecting the following items. Please drop your donations in the hampers by the doors by Wednesday, October 2.

  • Fabric - at least 2 yard cuts of dark, heavy, or printed cotton or cotton blend. You should not be able to see your hand through the material.
  • NEW shorts for boys - sizes toddler through teens.

Serve at Fame

Saturday, October 12

9am-12pm

We are blessed to have a few of our worldwide missions right in our own backyard. FAME sponsors sustainable medical operations and supplies to international missions. Travel to the FAME headquarters in Indianapolis to help sort supplies, pack pallets/containers, and tour the facility to see how they work. This is a family-friendly opportunity, but it is recommended for grades 6 and up.

Sign up here to volunteer.

Meet at 8am at LCC if you plan to carpool.

Serve at shalom house

Saturday, November 2

9am-1:30pm

Shalom House is a ministry partner in Lebanon that provides free meals for anyone, twice a week. They also provide free sack lunches for children in Boone County during school breaks.

If you've never served at Shalom House, you're missing a fun time. The food is prepared in advance and someone is there to lead you. We need a team of eight people (preferably who have never served there before) to serve this Saturday morning, as well as several to donate cookies and fruit.

Sign up to serve here.

And then sign up to serve again with a team of friends by contacting Shalom House directly.
